Effective Alcohol & Drug Treatment Program in Washington, DC

Group of People in a Room - Alcohol Treatment Program

Receive treatment for your addiction at Next Step, located in Washington, DC. We offer an alcohol and drug treatment program to help individuals get on the road to recovery.

Upon admission, an individual treatment plan will be developed that provides comprehensive treatment, addiction education, and social development and addresses any other potential impediments to your recovery, such as issues relating to your mental and physical health, family relationships, housing, legal problems, work, or managing your free time. You will be encouraged to immediately connect with recovery resources in the community, such as AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and/or NA (Narcotics Anonymous), and find a sponsor for ongoing support outside of program hours.

During the course of treatment at The Next Step, you will learn about yourself, your addiction, the principles of recovery, and the life changes you need to make in order to remain drug/alcohol-free. “Getting clean” is not the goal of recovery, “staying clean” is. Treatment services are provided in an atmosphere of support, understanding, respect, and confidentiality, including:
• Clinical Case Management (identification and referral for the treatment of co-occurring disorders and other mental health issues, vocational
  and educational training, and employment)
• Links to Community Recovery Programs, such as AA and NA
• Intake Services
• Individual Assessment and Placement Services
• Person-Centered Treatment Planning
• Individual Counseling
• Group Addiction Counseling
• Individual and Group Psychotherapy
• Discharge and Aftercare Planning
• Family Therapy (when indicated)
